Here is just a taste of what people are saying about Warrior Sailing.

“My first encounter with Warrior Sailing Program was in 2015, during Team Navy Trials in Hawaii. The staff was kind enough to put together a one-day sailing session to showcase what sailing and the organization was all about. I have, since, completed a basic sailing training course with WSP, and recently participated in the Sailing for Hope regatta in Newport, Rhode Island. The staff and instructors really know and enjoy what they do, and it shows. Working with veterans can be a bit frustrating at times but WSP makes the process of sailing stress-free, and adventurous. They even go out of their way to find local regattas, additional training, and resources for those of us who want to further advance our interests in sailing. Great organization, great group of people. Thank you for giving me the chance to experience sailing and be part of such a great group.”

— Isaac Francois, Navy Veteran, Warrior Sailor

“Those of us who race all the time need to be exposed to your Warriors . They exemplify everything you would like to see in a crew: attitude, guts, following instructions all that. As an ex GI I couldn’t be more proud of them. As far as attitude is concerned I’m blown away by the young lady we hoisted to the mid deck. Her attitude, her fortitude, her smile has had a profound affect on me. She sat face to the wind and rain all day, no whining or bitching, steely badass strength. My new hero.”

— Richard Barker, Friend of the Foundation

“I greatly appreciate the invitation to volunteer with Warrior Sailing! Scott and I thoroughly enjoyed our day with your fine organization. My experience was enriched by the attitudes of each person I met! Rob is one of the most enthusiastic people I’ve ever met! He’s quick to praise the participants on their skills (which they’ve learned due to Rob’s excellent teaching style). I expected to be enriched by the day with your organization. I underestimated how much I would enjoy the program and how much good you do for these vets. I plan to pursue an instructor rating so I can be a full fledged instructor for future Warrior Sailing events.”
