Warrior Sailing is excited to be offering our US Sailing sanctioned, International Offshore Safety at Sea with Hands-on Training certifications to the general public. For the past several years we have offered these courses internally to Warrior Sailing participants as part of our mission to provide maritime education and outreach for wounded, ill and injured service members and veterans. We are now extending these courses to the broader sailing community to raise awareness of our organization, help fund Warrior Sailing initiatives, and of course provide world-class safety training for cruisers and racers alike.
By attending one of our hosted one-day ‘Hands-On’ trainings and completing the required online prerequisites provided via US Sailing’s online training portal, you will meet the requirements for this certification. By registering for this course with Warrior Sailing, you will receive a pre-paid code which allows you to access the online course material. If this is your first Safety at Sea certification, you will be required to complete Chapters 1-15 of the online learning. If you are renewing an existing or expired Safety at Sea certification, you will be required to complete Chapters 11-15 to serve as your ‘refresher’ for the course material. The online course material must be completed prior to attending the hands-on portion of certification.
Warrior Sailing is offering the ‘Hands-On’ portion of the training this spring in St. Petersburg, Florida at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club. To sign-up and complete your registration for either our March 25th seminar or March 26th seminar, select the course you would like to attend below and proceed through checkout. You will be asked whether you require the full online training (Chapters 1-15) or just the refresher training (Chapters 11-15). Upon completion of checkout, you will receive an automatic email allowing you to download the course’s welcome packet via pdf. This will include instructions for your online course and logistical details as they relate to your selected seminar. We look forward to sharing our experience and seeing you soon!
