Community Sailing New Orleans, which provides a variety of community sailing programs, hosted 21 veterans form the Warrior Sailing program and matched them with four professional coaches for a basic skills training camp. The veterans, who were referred to the program by the Southern Louisiana VA Medical Center and came from as far away as Iowa, all suffered from an injury that took place while serving in the armed forces. The program stared Wednesday and will conclude on Friday with a competitive skills race.
