It was a hard fought battle in the 2019 Bell’s Beer Bayview Mackinac race. Warrior 53 finished early Monday morning after tackling every challenging condition. Lake Huron put the crew to the test with thunderstorms, becalmed no wind conditions, downwind fast sailing, and finally a 30kt upwind short chop beat into the finish. We survived and grew as a team. Though we have some battle scars, the growth of the team shows.
Our result on the scoreboard does not reflect the determination displayed and successful adventure we have just finished.
Our next challenge lays ahead with the Ugotta Regatta in Harbor Springs this weekend. This weekend of inshore bay racing takes place Saturday and Sunday. Check out the results each evening and stay tuned to great live updates on social media.
