Kilian Duclay, one of the founders of SailAhead, was recently named as an Advisor of the United War Veterans Council (UWVC), and SailAhead is now one of many Veteran Service Organizations working together with other members to enrich the daily lives of veterans through a variety of beneficial measures. They gathered together at the NYSE where members of roughly 25 VSOs sharing their goals and specific services.
219 is a symbol at SailAhead. It represents the number of veterans who take their lives on U.S. soil every 10 days and 1 less, a life they are trying to save. They are Our Mates, as called by SailAhead. A team of veterans along with the family at Sail Ahead are sailing aboard Madrigal, from Panama to the Galapagos Islands and spreading the message of 219. When they return to New York, they have a full summer schedule of Let’s Take a Veteran Sailing events.
