We asked camp graduates from all levels this question at Charleston Race week. The answers speak for themselves.
That’s a hard question. “It’s mental freedom”. “It’s given me my life back”. “It’s time to bond with my brothers and sisters”. “It’s beauty”.
Every answer is different. Every person’s experience is unique. Warrior Sailing provides physical, mental and emotional therapy for a variety of injuries and illnesses. Sailing is an outlet to cope with the long term effects of PTSD, brain injury, amputation, paralysis, and nerve damage. It’s also an enjoyable way for our warrior sailors to express their most natural abilities: teamwork and competitive drive.
Thank you Sam Greenfield (@_samgreenfield_) for joining us in Charleston to learn about our program and share your experience with the sailing world.
