For the third year, Warrior Sailing returned to San Diego with a splash. Hosted at the San Diego Yacht Club, we introduced a new class of 17 wounded, ill and injured service members to the sport of sailing. True to San Diego form, it was sunny, warm and just plain beautiful for sailing the fleet of J-22s. Plus, some of our previous graduates, Melissa & Jordan came out to meet the new class.
The community stepped up with their support too. San Diego Yacht Club opened their facility and boats to the program while the Armed Services YMCA San Diego helped us with local financial support. But the list of supporters continues with many thanks to Southwestern Yacht Club, USO San Diego, Point Break and Fiddler’s Green Irish Pub & Eatery restaurant as well as Nancy & Ed Lazarski.
