Warrior Sailing’s Charlevoix Clubhouse

We are proud that the Charlevoix Yacht Club is part of the Warrior Sailing story.  The Club and Warrior Sailing have recently solidified a long-term lease for a Warrior Sailing Clubhouse at 205 Ferry Avenue which will enable Warrior Sailing to be part of our sailing and boating community for the long term.

For the previous two summer seasons, Warrior Sailing has occupied the building at 207 Ferry Avenue as their summer training clubhouse.  Starting in 2023, the Warriors will be moving to the Club’s building at 205 Ferry Avenue and the Club will convert all of 207 Ferry into additional parking space for boats on trailers.  Warrior Sailing will begin a face-lift and renovation of its new building this spring to better serve the veterans and to host the summer Warrior Sailing programming on the Great Lakes. A classroom, galley, accessible bathrooms for physically disabled participants and other amenities will allow the program to thrive.  This permanent location will increase the number of Warriors attending summer directorship, cruising, and racing initiatives right here in Charlevoix!

What are ways you can help Warrior Sailing and their clubhouse renovations?

• Show your support by buying a Warrior Sailing yard sign for $50 and displaying it during the summer months. If you are interested, please order it here or visit https://warriorsailing.org/product/charlevoix-yard-signs. We’ll coordinate for pickup or local delivery of the yard signs in late May/early June.
• Sign up to volunteer with construction and remodel help at 205.  CYC is a volunteer based organization and volunteering at the clubhouse would be one way to help!  Specific volunteer days will be arranged and communicated to volunteers who sign up here or register at https://forms.gle/jUuCVkmVcpwm2oQA9.
